Championship duo Nottingham Forest and Queens Park Rangers are eyeing moves for Luton Town midfielder Pelly Ruddock, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

The former West Ham United trainee has been a revelation for Luton for the last couple of seasons and he is regarded as one of the best talents in the Football League.

Ruddock has established himself as a key member of the Luton side since initially joining the club on loan before making the move permanent in January 2014.

Leeds had a bid rejected for Ruddock last summer as they tried to lure him to Elland Road but Luton managed to keep hold of him.

Ruddock was virtually an ever-present for Luton last season, making 52 appearances in all competitions as Luton reached the League Two play-off semi-finals only to lose to Blackpool.

The 23-year-old defensive midfielder has also shown his versatility in filling in at centre-back when called upon and he is tipped for a bright future.

Forest and QPR are both looking to strengthen their squads ahead of next season after disappointing campaigns last season when they both narrowly avoided relegation from the Championship.

Ruddock is entering the final year of his contract at Kenilworth Road and Hatters boss Nathan Jones will be aiming to keep hold of his prize asset as he looks to build another side capable of challenging for promotion next season.
