Manchester United have agreed a deal for the Swedish international centre-back.
Following the announcement on Saturday that Manchester United had agreed a deal to sign Victor Lindelof from Benfica, the centre-back has now been photographed arriving at Carrington for his medical.
It will be an exciting sight for United fans desperate to see their summer business kick-started and they will be hoping his arrival is just the start of a busy few weeks of incoming transfers.
United's defence suffered as a result of injury last season, and although there were plenty of positives - not least the outstanding form of Eric Bailly and the resurgence of the much-maligned Marcos Rojo - it was an area of the field manager Jose Mourinho was always likely to strengthen.
Lindelof is expected to form a long-term partnership with Bailly, and of all the defenders currently on United's books it is Chris Smalling and Phil Jones who will be most wary of the chop.
Lindelof has featured 73 times for Benfica, scoring two goals in the process, and his passing ability means he should go down a storm at Old Trafford.
At just 22, he is years away from his peak, but he has already shown his ability in Benfica's title-winning campaigns and has been capped 12 times by Sweden as a consequence.
United do not only require a new centre-back. They also need to bring in additional fire-power, an out-and-out winger and a holding midfielder to allow Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba to shine ahead of him.
For now United will be looking to get the Lindelof deal completed and from there they can switch their attention to a new striker or two.
