Everton and Leicester City are both said to be competing for Swansea City’s Gylfi Sigurdsson’s signature this summer.

According to the Daily Mirror, Everton are in competition with Leicester City for the signature of Gylfi Sigurdsson this summer.
Everton have made Sigurdsson their top target this summer (Daily Mail), with Ronald Koeman keen to add the Icelandic midfielder to his squad at Goodison Park.

Sigurdsson has been in majorly impressive form at Swansea City over the past campaign, and Everton and Leicester have both been alerted to the 27-year-old’s potential availability.
Although Swansea want to keep hold of Sigurdsson, a fee of £35 million could be enough to prise the attacking midfielder away from the Liberty Stadium.
And Leicester and Everton are both said to be willing to make a bid for Sigurdsson.
It could be that Sigurdsson has to choose between a move to the Toffees or the Foxes, and if that is the case, then Sigurdsson should head to Merseyside.

Leicester’s standing within the game has unquestionably been raised due to their title success, but some of the key protagonists from that miraculous season are heading elsewhere.
N’Golo Kante has already departed, and Leicester look set to lose Riyad Mahrez this summer.
Everton, on the other hand, appear to be putting the foundations down for a very exciting future.
The Toffees have ambitions to make it into the top four, and their spending this summer suggests that Ronald Koeman’s squad is only going to get stronger.
If Sigurdsson does move to Everton, he would make the Toffees’ attacking threat even greater – and his chances of competing for honours at Goodison Park looks greater than if he picks Leicester.
