Pochettino appears to be wasting no time rectifying his transfer mistakes

Tottenham Hotspur have made some questionable signings recently but their manager is wasting little time putting that right.

Following the news - as reported by the Mirror last month - that Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is ready to cash in on Georges-Kevin N'Koudou after just one year at the club, Spurs have also opted not to activate a clause in Clinton N'Jie's loan deal at Marseille that could have seen him return despite an automatic buy-out in the initial deal.

When you also factor in the ongoing reports from the Mirror, among others, that Tottenham are hoping to sell Moussa Sissoko in the coming months, it seems clear Pochettino is wasting little time righting his wrongs.

This is the boss who brought the players to White Hart Lane in the first place, but at least he seems to have accepted that they simply cannot cut it and is prepared to ship them out in order to make room for the quality additions Tottenham need to take the next step.

While some football managers would persevere with under-performing players, the Tottenham boss was seemingly quick to cast judgement, sending N'Jie out on loan this season while dropping Sissoko after a string of below par performances and rarely giving N'Koudou a run-out.

He may be proved wrong - most likely when it comes to the latter - but none of the trio have shown they can perform to the standard required thus far, and it is admirable that the Tottenham boss is making big decisions quickly, rather than exhausting their opportunities with no substantial reward.

Tottenham need to be particularly bold in the current window to ensure they push on after coming so close last time out, and Pochettino's ruthless streak is certainly on show.
