Tottenham Hotspur are expected to invest in the summer transfer window.

Matt Le Tissier has told Sky Sports that he believes Tottenham Hotspur’s biggest challenge in the transfer window will be to find a striker who is happy to act as cover for Harry Kane.

Spurs are known to be looking to upgrade the quality of their forward options this summer, with Vincent Janssen struggling during his first season in English football.

Janssen has failed to score with any regularity since moving to Spurs, and the Dutch international could well depart this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino is thought to be looking at other options which he could bring in up-front, with a number of names linked.

However, Le Tissier feels Spurs could struggle to bring quality in up-front, as any player they target knows they will only be signing up as back-up due to the form of Kane.

"I would suggest that they need somebody a little bit closer to Harry Kane's standard as a back up, rather than Vincent Janssen, but the challenge is finding somebody who will be happy to play second fiddle,” Le Tissier said.

Kane finished up as the Premier League’s top scorer this past season, despite missing a sizeable chunk of the campaign through injury.

The England international is the first name on the team sheet at Spurs, and will surely not be dislodged in their starting line-up.
