Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers are close to signing a Colombian.
The Ibrox club have been linked with a move for the HJK Helsinki hitman in recent days
And his representative Jonne Lindblom told The Record on Thursday that the 20-year-old Colombian is "very excited" about the prospect of joining Rangers, adding that only a work permit stands between him and a switch to Glasgow now.
“Yes, we are in talks with Rangers and the two clubs have agreed a fee. It is now only a matter of getting a work permit sorted out," he said.
“This is one of the biggest clubs in Europe so he is very excited about the possibility. Yes, Rangers have been struggling for some time but the club is now moving again in the right direction and we believe it is the ideal choice for the player.”
The Record went on to claim that the Gers had agreed a £1 million fee with the Finnish club for his services.
If it goes through before anybody else is signed then Morelos will become Rangers' fifth summer signing, following Bruno Alves, Ryan Jack, Dalcio and Fabio Cardoso through the doors at Ibrox.
Manager Pedro Caixinha has been a very busy bee in the window so far, but a tonne of work is needed before Rangers can realistically challenge Celtic - who finished 39 points ahead of the Gers last season - for the biggest prizes in Scottish football again.
