West Bromwich Albion are keen to hand Hull City midfielder Sam Clucas the chance to stay in the Premier League this summer.
Hull City’s Sam Clucas is being chased by West Brom
A report from The Sun on Sunday (print edition, June 4th 2017, pg. 59) has suggested that West Brom are keen on bringing Hull City midfielder Sam Clucas to the Hawthorns this summer.
Clucas was one of the Tigers’ more impressive players last season, but was unable to help the side remain in the Premier League as they were relegated in their first season back at the highest level.
Clucas reportedly wants to leave Hull this summer
The Sun on Sunday (print edition, June 4th 2017, pg. 59) suggests a summer exodus is on the cards at the KCOM Stadium, and Clucas is likely to be one of the players set to be on their way during the coming months, along with Andrew Robertson and Harry Maguire.
According to The Sun on Sunday, the Baggies are ready to offer Clucas – who is now keen on a move away during this window – the chance to stay in the top flight, though it appears that he will not come cheap.
West Brom manager Tony Pulis will need to pay £10 million for Clucas
The Sun on Sunday reports that the 26-year-old will command a fee of around £10 million, but that will not be a problem for Tony Pulis who has significant funds to spend this summer.
A move to the Hawthorns would present Clucas with the chance to potentially play alongside former Hull teammate Jake Livermore who made the same switch in January.
And with Livermore’s move also costing £10 million (via BBC Sport), it perhaps would not be too great a surprise if Pulis decided to sanction a similar deal this time around.
