Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has hinted a major transfer this summer by saying that he is considering to make a bid for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez.
Mahrez, who scored 17 goals in the 2015-16 Premier League title winning season for the Foxes, has asked to part ways from King Power Stadium.
The 26-year-old signed a £100,000-a-week contract extension last season that will keep him at the club till 2020. However, he has expressed his desire to prove himself at a bigger club.

Leicester City owners are ready to play hardball and have reportedly slapped a £50 million price tag on his shoulders.
Mahrez has managed only six goals this term but Wenger reveals that he would be interested in bringing the winger to Emirates.
“We have not made a bid, but personally, I like the player, yes,” Wenger told beIN Sports. “I think he made a huge impact when they won the championship.
“Like at everybody else at Leicester, this season has been more challenging, but it doesn’t take away from his qualities.
“Have we made a bid for him? No. Not yet. No, we have not. When I say ‘not yet’ it means it could happen. It might not happen.”
Arsenal could face a strong competition from their north London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, who are also interested in signing him as reported by The Telegraph.

Mahrez will be in demand this summer, and it remains to seen whether Spurs show ambition to sign a big difference-making player like him.
While Arsenal can match Leicester’s asking fee, Tottenham can offer him Champions League football which could prove to be a major factor while choosing his next club.
