Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez
Newcastle United are considering a loan bid for Kelechi Iheanacho, Chronicle Live reports.
Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is said to be eyeing between seven and 12 new recruits, with at least one striker likely to arrive following the Magpies' promotion.
Burnley's Andre Gray has been strongly linked with a move to St James' Park, and the report states Newcastle are looking into a permanent move for him.

However, it appears that loan options are also being sought, with Chelsea's Michy Batshuayi and Manchester City's Iheanacho both listed as potential targets.
Iheanacho's name is a new one, though, as far as Newcastle are concerned, with the Nigerian having already been linked with a string of other Premier League clubs after scoring four goals from five top-flight starts this past campaign.

City's January capture of Gabriel Jesus has led to a reduction in Iheanacho's playing time, despite the Brazilian's two-month injury lay-off, and a summer departure could be on the cards, be it permanently or on loan.
An asking price of £20 million has been speculated in some places, which could explain why Newcastle are only being linked with a temporary switch.
