West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has revealed to The Mirror that he is chasing the same players in the summer transfer window that other teams are.

Bilic has disclosed what he and other managers in the Premier League have discussed about potential targets in the summer.

“I spoke this season after games with the managers and it was a surprise to me but most of the players that are on our list, they are on the list of a minimum of 10 other clubs,” the West Ham manager told The Mirror. “We are all aiming for, basically, the same names.”

Tough market

Bilic’s comments show that West Ham will find it hard to sign the players they want in the summer transfer window due to the competition they will face.

The Hammers, though, should do whatever they can to bring in the players Bilic wants, as doing that will ensure that the team finish in the top 10 of the Premier League next season.

The 2016-17 campaign has been disappointing for the London club, and the fans will expect the tam to do much better in 2017-18.

Reported targets

West Ham have been linked with a number of players in the summer transfer window. According to The London Evening Standard, the Hammers want to sign Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe, while The Daily Star has credited the London club with interest in Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge.
