Title race decided? Check. Relegation battle decided? Check. All eyes will be on the top four race in the final day of the 2016/17 Premier League.

As it stands, Manchester City are third in the league with 75 points. Liverpool are fourth with 73 points, and Arsenal are in fifth with 72 points.

A victory for Liverpool will see them consolidating on the fourth position. However, a draw or a defeat could see Arsenal leapfrogging them if they win their last home game against Everton.

Liverpool could jump above City in third if City fail to win their game. Arsenal will have to win their match on a high score margin and hope City lose theirs in order to break into the top four.

Merson says that Liverpool have faced problems through the season against lesser teams. However, they simply cannot throw away the lead from here. He expects Jurgen Klopp’s side to beat Boro comfortably and cement their position in the top four. The Sky Sports pundit predicts a 2-0 win for the Reds.

"You would take Middlesbrough at home on the final day of the season to win to make it into the Champions League. They are one game away and I'd expect them to do it," said Merson, as quoted by Sky Sports

Merson also expects Arsenal to win their game. He says that Romelu Lukaku will be eager to score and win the Golden Boot, but the Gunners need three points to give them a chance for the top four. Merson tips Arsenal to win 3-1 against the Toffees.

"Romelu Lukaku will want to score to make sure he wins the Golden Boot, but Arsenal need the three points to give them a chance for the top four," he added,
