The Celtic hitman would be a great addition for either Leeds United or Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Popular bookmakers BETVICTOR have installed Wolves and Leeds as the new 6/1 favourites in the race to sign Hoops striker Leigh Griffiths.

The 26-year-old's future at Celtic Park remains uncertain with Moussa Dembele ahead of him in the pecking order. Brendan Rodgers has also been rumoured to be looking to add another striker to his ranks in the summer, according to the Express.

And BETVICTOR believe that the English Championship could be Griffiths' next destination, with Wolves and Leeds both listed at 6/1 to sign the Scotland international, ahead of Hibernian at 12/1.

It could be argued that Paul Lambert is in more desperate need of a man of Griffiths' quality than Garry Monk, although that situation could change if the Whites lose Chris Wood to a Premier League club this summer.

The Celtic hitman has all the qualities required to succeed in the Championship, and a return to Molineux - where he spent three years earlier on in his career could spark his game back into life.

His goal record speaks for itself - 63 goals in 93 Scottish Premiership appearances for Celtic, and that kind of prolific nature in front of goal would undoubtedly improve Wolves as a team.

That is not to say that he would not be needed at Leeds, however, even if Wood remains at Elland Road.

His clinical nature in front of goal could make all the difference for Garry Monk's men next term, after they narrowly missed out on a spot inside the play-off places this season.

And with the transfer window just around the corner, this will most certainly be one to keep an eye on.
