West Ham United are expected to make a number of alterations to their first-team squad this summer.

Slaven Bilic has told the London Evening Standard that West Ham United will be allowing some of their fringe players to leave this summer.

West Ham are expected to be active in the upcoming transfer window, with additions expected.

And to make room for the new signings Bilic has suggested that some of his lesser-used players could depart the London Stadium in the near future.

He said: “A few players will go and some are not happy with the minutes they have played. We have to refresh our squad and improve our first XI.”

Although Bilic would not name which players were set to leave West Ham, the likes of Alvaro Arbeloa, Ashley Fletcher and Sofiane Feghouli could be most at risk.

The trio have all featured very infrequently this season, and may feel that they would be better off moving elsewhere.

West Ham are next in action when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday.

If the Hammers can finish their season with a win, they could move into the top half of the Premier League table - providing other results go in their favour.
