Everton are expected to attempt to bring a number of new players to Goodison Park this summer.
Ronald Koeman has kept his cards close to his chest, when asked how many new players Everton want in the upcoming transfer window at his latest press conference, which was broadcast on the Toffees’ official Facebook page.
Everton are expected to be active in the coming months, as Koeman strengthens his squad.
The Toffees are due to play more matches next season, after qualifying for the Europa League.
However, Koeman insists that Everton will be operating with a quality over quantity based approach in the transfer market.
“It’s not about numbers,” the Dutch boss said. “We know that if everything goes well, we will have more games. We need a better balance in the team, and we need new signings in some positions.”
Everton have already been linked with a whole host of players, with Koeman already making transfer plans.
Koeman is expected to be granted a considerable amount of funds to spend on upgrading his first-team.
The Toffees have shown signs of promise this season, and climbed into seventh place in the Premier League table.
Everton are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
