This summer Tottenham Hotspur are once again on the look-out for a new striker. One such player is Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick. The 21-year-old has scored 13 goals in 34 games for the Italian side this season, after joining the club from Sparta Prague last summer.

The Czech Republic international has been scouted by Tottenham recently and now it seems an agreement might actually be in place between the club and the player’s agent, as reported by Il Secolo XIX.

They are suggesting that Tottenham have reached an agreement over a contract offer for Schick with his agent Pavel Paska along with Juventus and Inter Milan.

That’s the good news, now for the bad.

According to reports in Italy today, Juventus are stepping up their pursuit of the player. Fellow Czech and Juve legend Pavel Nedved, who is on the board of directors with the Bianconeri, is spearheading their approach for the player.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have informed Sampdoria they are willing to pay the £18 million release clause to acquire Schick.

His agent is back in Italy next week when decisions should start being made about his future.

Tottenham know it will be hard to fend off interest from the Champions League finalists, especially with Nedved in their corner. By next week it seems some answers might be pending.
