The Tottenham Hotspur manager has proven himself to be one of the world's best during his time in charge at the club.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters ahed of his side's clash with Leicester City last night, and responded to a question asking whether he has a buy-out clause inserted into his contract with the club, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.

The Argentine has guided his side to a successful Premier League campaign so far this term, and despite the general feeling of disappointment emanating from the Tottenham players and fans after their failed tilt at the title, they must be extremely proud of the fact that they ran Chelsea so close, on a far inferior budget.

The task now for the Lilywhites will be to continue their progression by challenging for major honours on all fronts, and ultimately, win some silverware that their play undoubtedly deserves.

One worry for Spurs fans, however, is that their manager, who is now widely considered to be one of the best in his field, could be poached by one of Europe's elite clubs.

The 45-year-old allayed their fears though, when speaking to reporters, insisting that he has no buy-out clause inserted into his current deal with Tottenham, as quoted by Football.London:

"No, no buyout clause in my contract. I will stay here next season. There are many many rumours but I am committed to Tottenham. I have no reason to leave the club. I will stay here, don't worry. You will see on July 3 at the start of pre-season, I will stay here. Don't worry."

Pochettino is in the middle of a long-term project at Tottenham, and that might just be enough to keep him around for the foreseeable future, but if his players do not start bringing home some major honours soon, he could very well be tempted to join one of Europe's biggest clubs.
