Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has told BBC Sport that the club’s fans should remain calm regarding summer transfer activity.

A number of the Tottenham players have been liked with moves away from the North London outfit in the summer transfer window.

According to a recent report in The Sun, midfielder Eric Dier, right-back Kyle Walker and left-back Danny Rose all are considering leaving Spurs.

Tottenham manager Pochettino has given his take on speculation surrounding his players and has urged the fans to stay calm.

"For us to keep our best players, a lot of clubs are interested in them but the players we want to keep will be here next season,” Pochettino told BBC Sport.

“If any players leave it's Tottenham's decision. Our fans need to be calm. The players must feel they are part of us and want to share in our success."

Tottenham are set to finish second in the Premier League this season and have no reason to sell their best players.

Moreover, why would the players leave? The likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane have progressed and developed under manager Mauricio Pochettino, and it is hard to see why the first-team regulars would want to switch clubs.

While it is true that Tottenham are building a new stadium, the club are very much capable of saying ‘no’ if Premier League rivals want to sign their top players.
