This week he was surprisingly linked with a stunning move to La Liga giants Barcelona, by Spanish news outlet Don Balon.

Former Spurs striker Gary Lineker was at least amused by the claims, using Twitter to express his emotion at reading them.
His reaction was likely one shared by many Tottenham fans, one of amusement and disbelief.
The Frenchman has been woeful this season, although his Newcastle displays last season were a red flag.

Only his surprisingly good Euro 2016 earned him a summer transfer to Spurs, but Barcelona are likely a lot wiser than Tottenham were and should ignore their attempts to offload him to them.
