How far can Leeds United go next season?
Peterborough United Chairman Darragh MacAnthony
Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony says he believes Leeds United are capable of winning automatic promotion from the Championship next season.
Responding to a Leeds supporter on Twitter, MacAnthony said the dream scenario for the Whites could occur if they keep head coach Garry Monk, and back him with transfer funds.

Quizzed on how far they could go in 2017/17, MacAnthony said it is down to new owner Andrea Radrizzani.
I think if he is backed by new fella, then top 2 imo. https://t.co/oApx1vpqBy— Darragh MacAnthony (@DMAC102) May 18, 2017
Leeds had expected to be in the Championship play-offs now after occupying a top six position for several months before a late season collapse saw them slip to seventh place.
Now they are at a crossroads with Monk not yet committed to a new deal, and question marks over the futures of key players like Kyle Bartley, who is set to return to Swansea City on after his loan expired.

This past season was encouraging compared to the previous campaign where Leeds' season had effectively ended by January, and there is real reason to be optimistic providing they get Monk tied down to a new deal.
If not then they could be back to square one in terms of rebuilding.
