Andrea Radrizzani would be making a huge statement of intent at Leeds United, if he was to complete the signing of Jonny Howson.

The Sun have reported that Norwich City midfielder Howson has become Radrizzani’s number one target for Leeds this summer.

The Whites are reportedly prepared to pay £4 million to bring Howson back to Elland Road.

And if Radrizzani was to snap up Howson, it would be a great way to start his ownership of Leeds.

During Massimo Cellino’s time in charge, Leeds have made some fairly astute purchases in the transfer window.

The likes of Chris Wood, Gaetano Berardi and Luke Ayling have all proven to be excellent additions.

However, Cellino has never attempt to sign a player for Leeds with the profile of Howson.

The Canaries midfielder is a stand out player at Championship, and his arrival at Leeds would create more excitement than any player the Yorkshire club have signed in recent years.

Howson’s quality is well known at Leeds, following his previous spell with the club.

And if Radrizzani was to bring Howson back to Elland Road, it would be a major statement of his intent for the future.
