Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has answered his critics, following his side’s brilliant run of form over the final few months this season.
Spurs collapsed towards the back end of the last campaign, and questions were asked of Pochettino following that run of bad form.
Pochettino is renowned of being a hard task master and there were questions marks over whether his rigorous training methods were leading to fatigue.
However, Spurs’ form this term has emphatically answered any questions over this issue.
Tottenham have won 12 of their last 13 matches, and although they are destined to finish in second place in the Premier League table, they deserve a serious amount of praise for their performances.
Of course, Chelsea’s title win has reduced the pressure on Spurs recently - but their showing against Leicester City yesterday did not suggest that they were suffering any signs of tiredness, after a gruelling campaign.
Spurs tore Leicester to pieces, and won 6-1 at the King Power Stadium.
And the last remaining doubt about Pochettino’s management should have emphatically been put to bed now.
