According to the Daily Mail, Everton held a board meeting on Wednesday to plan for summer transfers – and are likely to bid for Sunderland's Jordan Pickford.
With financial backing from Farhad Moshiri, the Toffees have been able to strengthen their squad over the last year with signings such as Ashley Williams, Idrissa Gueye, Morgan Schneiderlin and Yannick Bolasie.
Now, Koeman will want further signings in order to push Everton towards the Champions League places, and a new goalkeeper appears to be near the top of his priority list.
Maarten Stekelenburg and Joel Robles haven't impressed enough to prove that they can be Everton's long-term first-choice goalkeeper, and a move for a new stopper could be on the cards.
Sunderland's Jordan Pickford
The Daily Mail report that Everton held a board meeting on Wednesday in order to plan for the summer transfer window, and have indicated that they will make a bid for Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
However, it's suggested that the Black Cats will demand a whopping £30million for their star goalkeeper, and they actually expect to see Everton offer closer to £15million to begin with.
Sunderland's Jordan Pickford celebrates
Pickford, 23, has come up through the ranks with Sunderland, and has been one of their few standout performers in a dreadful season. Now relegated to the Championship, Sunderland face losing Pickford, and it's no surprise that Premier League clubs are eyeing moves to sign him.
With confidence on crosses, superb shot-stopping ability and frankly incredible distribution, Pickford could become the complete package in goal – and Everton will be hoping to secure a deal this summer.
