In January Leeds United concluded a deal to sign Spanish talent Alfonso Pedraza on loan from Villarreal.
He arrived with a reputation as a top talent and had the option to join on a permanent deal should Leeds earn promotion. The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that fee as being in the region of £8.5 million.
Of course Leeds did not achieve promotion. They came up short in their hunt for the play-offs, finishing seventh in the Championship.
Some of Pedraza’s performances did impress at Leeds, but it seems he will not be returning to Elland Road for next season.

It is being reported by as in Spain that the attacker has already returned to the training facilities of Villarreal.
The report claims Leeds do not have a chance of signing him without Premier League football and that he will now look toward making the first-team at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
