Derby County and Leeds United are among the clubs reportedly interested in signing Ollie Watkins from Exeter City in the summer transfer window.

Derby County are interested in signing Ollie Watkins from Exeter City in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 63, May 14, 2017).

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Derby are set to make an offer of £3 million for the 21-year-old midfielder.

It has also been claimed that Exeter are likely to sell the youngster once the League Two playoffs are over.

Other clubs’ interest

Derby are not the only Championship club (reportedly) interested in Watkins. According to Somersetlive.co.uk, Leeds United and Bristol City want to sign the highly-rated midfielder.

Somersetlive.co.uk has also credited Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester United with interest in the 21-year-old.

Watkins was enjoyed a strong season for Exeter and has been named as the EFL Young Player of the Year.

The young midfielder has a lot of potential, and he could be a massive success in the Championship if he is afforded time and patience.
