Rangers are one of three clubs keen on a move for Motherwell defender Ben Heneghan, according to Sky Sports.
Heneghan only has a year to run on his deal at Fir Park and the report claims he is expected to leave the Steelmen this summer.
The 23-year-old moved to Scottish football a year ago from English National League side Chester and is also said to have interest from Championship sides Reading and Cardiff City, both of whom have ‘made enquiries’.
A move up the road to Rangers could have its benefits, however, especially with centre-backs Clint Hill and Philippe Senderos set to depart Ibrox according to reports this week.

New Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha got a chance to see Heneghan first hand in only his second game in charge of the Glasgow giants, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Stephen Robinson’s side.
The Mancunian is not the only stopper being linked with a move to Rangers this summer, with Al-Gharafa defender Rashid Sumaila hinting at a reunion with his old boss on social media this week.
Would Heneghan be a good signing for Rangers? And can the Light Blues fight off English interest?
