Football Soccer - Girondins Bordeaux v Paris Saint Germain - French ligue 1
Liverpool have made a move to sign Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain according to reports from Le10Sport.
The French publication claim that the Premier League side have asked about the availability of the Brazilian ahead of the transfer window.
Moura has been linked away from Parc des Princes this summer despite scoring nine goals and registering five assists in 35 appearances. He is a regular in the first team, but his future at the club is in doubt with Unai Emery reportedly set to be replaced in the summer.
Liverpool face stiff competition from Atletico Madrid as they too have been tracking Moura for some time. Lucas has two years left on his current contract and is said to be valued at £30 million by the Ligue 1 side. Both clubs are ready to meet the asking price as they are keen on signing an attacking midfielder.
Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho in action with Sevilla's Coke
With reports of Philippe Coutinho's move to Barcelona in the summer getting stronger, Liverpool are wasting no time in the hunt for a possible replacement. Jurgen Klopp has set his sights on getting the Brazilian, who snubbed Manchester United in favour of a move to Paris in 2013.
Moura can be the ideal replacement for Coutinho should the Brazilian leave. If the Barcelona target ends staying and Liverpool still sign the PSG winger, the Reds will surely be challenging for the title next season.
