Aston Villa are set to take on Brighton & Hove Albion on the final day of the season.
Steve Bruce has confirmed that Alan Hutton, Mile Jedinak and Gabriel Agbonlahor will all miss out on playing in Aston Villa’s final match of the season at his latest press conference, which was broadcast by the Midland's side's official Facebook page.
The claret and blues are due to face Brighton & Hove Albion at Villa Park, to bring their campaign to a close.
And Bruce will be without a number of first-team players for the fixture.
Jonathan Kodjia’s injury has made the headlines recently, but Villa will also be without other regulars.
“Alan Hutton has two broken ribs, so he won’t play,” Bruce said. “Mile Jedinak has not recovered from his groin, so he won’t play and Gabby went over on his ankle yesterday, so he won’t play.”
Villa have little to play for other than pride in the final match of the season.
Brighton are currently top of the table, though, and need to pick up a victory to ensure that they will lift the Championship title.
Brighton must better Newcastle United’s result to finish on top of the pile, with Rafael Benitez’s men taking on Barnsley at Oakwell.
Villa, meanwhile, are currently in 12th place - and will be looking to protect their position in the top half on the final day.
