Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has failed to rule out the possibility of selling Marcus Maddison to Sheffield United.
The Posh winger scored nine goals and created 17 throughout the 2016-17 League One season, which the Blades ended as champions.
But with Maddison’s contract set to enter its final year, Peterborough have confirmed he has been transfer listed along with six others in the same situation, as per club policy.
Nevertheless MacAnthony insists he would be ‘comfortable’ allowing his team’s star man to see out the remainder of his deal, if the Irishman doesn’t receive an offer to his liking.
When asked told to brace himself for a bid from Sheffield United, MacAnthony replied to the Blades fan:
