A number of Football League clubs are chasing non-league goalscoring sensation Liam Nash, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club, with Gillingham and Doncaster chief among them.
Nash has been a revelation for Maldon and Tiptree in the Ryman North Division this season with 37 goals, including a 20 minute hat-trick in the 5-4 win over Haringey Borough in midweek to fire his team into the Ryman North Division play-off final.
Nash joined Maldon and Tiptree in September and after spells at Great Wakering Rovers and Billericay.
The versatile forward's goalscoring exploits have not gone unnoticed among clubs higher up the football pyramid with scouts from Football League clubs making regular visits to Park Drive this season to watch Nash.
Doncaster Rovers manager Darren Ferguson
Doncaster Rovers have had him in on trial this season and the League Two champions are keen to have another look at Nash before deciding whether or not to offer him a deal at the Keepmoat Stadium.
League One Gillingham have also registered an interest in Nash and several other League One and League Two clubs are actively monitoring his situation.
Maldon and Tiptree are unlikely to stand in Nash's if the opportunity to make the move to the Football League arises this summer.
