HITC Sports understands that Cardiff City are interested in signing the Senegalese midfielder Sidy Sarr from Belgian side KV Kortrijk this summer.
The Belgian outfit are owned by the same man as Cardiff, Vincent Tan. They snapped up Sarr in 2015 after he starred at the 2015 FIFA under-20 World Cup, as Senegal reached the semi-finals.
When he was signed by the Belgian side Cardiff always had plans to eventually take an interest in signing him, if he proved himself in Europe.
He has recently begun to show his talent for the Kortrijk first-team, playing 28 times this season. He recently scored a sensational half-volley in a 3-3 draw with KAS Eupen, which made the headlines across Europe.

Cardiff remain keen on bringing the player to South Wales, although obtaining a work permit for the 20-year-old may still prove a stumbling block.
The 6ft 5ins midfield dynamo is however a top talent who Cardiff would be lucky to have on their books.
Dealing with the Belgian side should be straightforward, considering the shared ownership of Tan, and Sarr looks like a potential gem if Cardiff can secure a deal to sign him.
