Lyon's Corentin Tolisso celebrates scoring their first goal
Manchester City are reportedly keen on signing Lyon’s highly rated midfielder, Corentin Tolisso.
Pep Guardiola wants to build the squad to his own taste for the next season, and he has already started drawing up a list of potential targets.
According to reports from ESPN, Lyon’s Tolisso is one of his prime summer targets.
The 22-year-old has been on the books with Lyon since 2007, and has climbed up the rank to become a key player for the Ligue 1 side, making over 150 appearances in a Lyon shirt.
Primarily a defensive midfielder, the versatile Frenchman has shown remarkable attacking return this season, scoring 14 goals in all competitions for the French outfit.
Tottenham should make a move for him
Midfield is one area where Spurs need to add one or two quality players in the summer. Tolisso is a player similar to Mousa Dembele, and he has the ability to eventually replace the Belgian in the long run.

Tottenham will require depth in their squad next season if they are serious about making a progress in European competitions. Spurs can lure him with Champions League football and the opportunity to play regular games.
One major problem is he won’t come cheap. According to L'Equipe (subscription required) he would cost around €45m - a fee that could be beyond Spurs unless one or two players are sold. However, it is time they show ambition in the market and make a real statement out there.
