General view of Ibrox - Rangers
Gilmour's future remains unresolved and has been the source of constant speculation over the past few weeks, with The Mail reporting he is likely to sign with Chelsea.
Rangers have not given up hope of persuading him to stay, and continue to select him. Watching him play last night in a game broadcast live on Youtube, many fans got a look at what all the fuss is about for the very first time.
Gilmour lived up to the hype, with some supporters remarking that his delivery is already better than that of the first team players.
New boss Pedro Caixinha has shown he is ready to give chances to young players already, and Gilmour's performance will keep him in the reckoning in the future if he stays at Ibrox.
