Leeds United will be looking to return to winning ways in the Championship this weekend. The Whites will take on Burton Albion away from home at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The West Yorkshire outfit will head into the match against Albion on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Elland Road in the league.

The defeat to Wolves means that Garry Monk’s side are now seventh in the Championship table with 73 points from 43 matches.

Leeds are level on points with sixth-placed Fulham, but they are behind in the table due to an inferior goal difference.

The Whites will be determined to pick up all three points against Albion, and one of the players who will be key is Chris Wood.

The New Zealand international striker has scored 25 goals and provided three assists for Leeds in the Championship so far this season.

Burton are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the moment. Nigel Clough’s side are currently only four points above the bottom three.

Ahead of the match, Albion defender Kyle McFadzean, who is 30 years of age, has identified Wood as a main threat.

“When you play against the best players you always look forward to it, he as proved this year what a good striker he is,” McFadzean told Albion’s official website. “He is top scorer in the league so he will be a handful but I will be raring to go against him.”
