Chelsea and Liverpool are among the clubs reportedly interested in signing Leeds United’s Pontus Jansson in the summer transfer window.

Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson is a fan favourite and has expressed his love for the club on more than one occasions.

The centre-back is one of the best players in the Championship and has been a key figure in Leeds’s ongoing quest to finish in the playoffs this season.

The 26-year-old plays with his heart of his sleeve, and his style of football has endeared him to the Elland Road faithful.

However, Jansson’s performances have also seen him linked with moves to Premier League clubs in the summer transfer window.

According to Swedish outlet Kvallsposten, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the Sweden international defender. Sky Sports have credited Southampton with interest in Jansson (click here to read more).

Leeds are a massive club and have got on occasions more than 30,000 fans at Elland Road this season, but if the Whites fail to get promoted to the Premier League at the end of the campaign, then one should not be surprised if Jansson leaves.

According to The Sun, Jansson will make his loan deal from Torino permanent in the summer for a transfer fee of £3.5million deal.

Once that deal officially goes through and Leeds fail to get promoted, then one should not be surprised if the West Yorkshire outfit have to part company with him.

Jansson has been a success in the Championship, and at the age of 26, it is only logical that he is tempted to test him in the Premier League.

True, Leeds are one of the biggest clubs in England, but playing for Chelsea, Liverpool or Tottenham would be a step-up for the defender.
