Celtic youngster Jack Aitchison stepped up to score a winner for the club in the Glasgow Cup Final against rivals Rangers.

The 17-year-old striker fired Celtic's youth side to a 2-1 victory with a brilliant solo goal in which he left the Gers defenders trailing in his wake.

Aitchison has already scored for Celtic's first team and looks to be a surefire bet to star for the club in the future on a regular basis, the only question is how soon?

Last night's performance will not have done his prospects any harm at all, and could even win him a place on the bench in this weekend's Scottish Cup semi final for the first team.

The Celtic striker has a bright a chance as anyone to be the catalyst for success, and it would not be a shock to see him get first team chances before this season ends. After last night, it would be very much deserved.
