Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Helder Costa celebrates with manager Paul Lambert
Bookmaker Bet Victor has installed West Bromwich Albion as shock favourites to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Helder Costa this summer, with odds of 4/1.
The Portugal Under-23 international arrived at Molineux on loan from Benfica last summer and has scored or created 23 goals in 40 outings.
Despite alleged interest from a string of Premier League clubs in January - of which West Brom were not one - Wolves managed to tie down Costa to permanent four-and-a-half-year deal, at a reported cost of £13 million.
But the 23-year-old's contract is said to contain a £20 million release clause which, if triggered, would allow him to leave Molineux without the club's blessing.
Champions League semi-finalists Monaco are plotting a return for their former loan star, according to the Sunday People [2 April, page 53], although the Ligue 1 side currently trail the Baggies on Bet Victor's list of contenders.
West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis
The bookmaker has Monaco slightly behind Tony Pulis' side at 6/1, with Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea [both 8/1] joint third in the running.
