Bookmaker Bet Victor has slashed its odds on Liverpool signing Hull City defender Harry Maguire this summer.

Liverpool were initially listed as 8/1 outsiders for the Yorkshireman, behind linked clubs West Ham United, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.

But the Reds have since leapfrogged three of those clubs to sit behind the Hammers as 5/1 second favourites.

Maguire has excelled during Hull's revival under Marco Silva, but is expected to quit the Tigers in the coming transfer window with his contract expiring at the end of next season.

An approach from Liverpool would certainly make sense, with the Reds conceding the joint-most goals of any of the Premier League's top seven clubs this season and summer recruit Ragnar Klavan still to fully convince.

Neighbours Everton are also likely to add to their defensive line this summer, and a transfer battle could be about to commence on Merseyside.

Having said that, the Toffees have been strongly linked with a move for Burnley's Michael Keane, and are Bet Victor's heavy favourites to land him ahead of Liverpool (6/1).

Would Maguire be better off at Liverpool or Everton?
