Leeds United have fallen out of the Championship playoff spots. The Whites’ 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home at Elland Road on Monday evening means that they are now seventh in the standings.
The Whites have picked up 73 points from 43 matches so far this season. Leeds are level on points with sixth-placed Fulham, but they are behind on goal difference.
Not so long ago Leeds were looking set for a spot in the playoffs, but things are looking tough and tricky now.
The West Yorkshire outfit will take on Burton Albion away from home at the Pirelli Stadium, Norwich City at Elland Road and Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium in their final three league games of the season.
Reading and Huddersfield Town seem to have consolidated two of the four playoff spots available, meaning that one of Leeds, Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday will miss out on a top-six finish.
