Reports emanating from Italy today suggest that Serie A giants AC Millan, with their new found financial muscle, are planning a huge summer swoop for Toffees striker Romelu Lukaku, after their recent Chinese investment, according to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato.

The Belgian's future at Goodison Park remains far from clear, with a whole host of some of Europe's biggest club's reportedly interested in signing the 23-year-old this summer, including Manchester United and Chelsea (Telegraph).

The two Premier League giants will face further competition, however, with the Rossoneri's reported interest likely to make both United and Chelsea's task of luring Lukaku away from Everton that little bit more challenging.

And Calcio Mercato claim that Milan are exploring the possibility of making a mega money move for the Blues striker in the summer, with the Italian side's recent Chinese investment allowing them to be more bullish in the transfer market.

Ronald Koeman will, of course, like to keep someone of Lukaku's ilk at the club, but he may not be able to refuse an offer in the region of £100 million, with the Daily Mail claiming it will take that kind of bid to prise him away from Merseyside.
