According to a report from The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a £30million summer deal for Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa.

Spurs have seen Son Heung-min step up in recent weeks, but with limited impact from 2016 signings Moussa Sissoko and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, Mauricio Pochettino could look to bring in a new winger this summer.

Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha and Galatasaray's Bruma have been heavily touted, but new reports suggest that Bayern Munich ace Douglas Costa is now on Tottenham's radar.

The Mirror believe that Spurs are interested in a summer move for Costa which could cost around £30million, having endured a difficult season with Bayern.

Previously so important under Pep Guardiola, the Brazilian has struggled to nail down a place in Carlo Ancelotti's team this season, starting just 13 Bundesliga games, but still contributing seven goals and six assists.

The 26-year-old speedster could look to leave Bayern this summer, and the alleged interest from Tottenham has unsurprisingly triggered a major reaction from Spurs fans on Twitter.

Many believe that Costa would be the difference maker in the final third that can take Tottenham to the next level, urging chairman Daniel Levy to get a deal done and play him alongside Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane.

Others want to see him replace Moussa Sissoko in the Spurs squad, but some think that a move to Tottenham is unlikely for Costa, as other Premier League clubs will be interested in signing him at a value that Levy may not match.
