Tom Davies has broken through into Ronald Koeman's first-team at Everton this season.
Schneiderlin only joined Everton in the January transfer window, but Davies’ potential has already caught the former Manchester United man’s eye.
Davies has enjoyed a wonderful break through season at the Merseyside club, where he has emerged as one of the top prospects in the Premier League.
And Schneiderin can only see a bright future for his new 18-year-old teammate.
“For an 18-year-old to keep up the quality of play he has shown every week is very special,” Schneiderlin said.
“He’s a guy who listens to all the players and every time someone tells him something, he takes it in. He tries to do the good things and correct the little things he might do wrong.
“He is strong on the ball, has a good view of the game and is someone with great energy.
“He deserved his new contract and he is a guy who comes from here, comes from Everton.
“For someone who is 18, he has a lot of talent and can add more to his game to be one of the special guys in England.”
Davies and Schneiderlin look set to be mainstays in Everton’s midfield for the years to come.
The pair have been in wonderful form in recent weeks, and have helped Everton put together an impressive series of results.
The Toffees have looked a very strong outfit throughout 2017 to date, and now are almost certain to finish in the top seven this season.
Everton may even have their sights on finishing above Arsenal and claiming a top six spot.
Ronald Koeman’s side are next in action at the weekend, when they take on West Ham United at the Olympic Stadium.
