Leeds' Pontus Jansson celebrates scoring their first goal

Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has been linked with a move to Southampton in the summer transfer window.

Leeds manager Garry Monk talks to Pontus Jansson

Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson is one of the best players in the Championship and is a key player in the current team.

The 26-year-old centre-back has been a success in the Championship this season and is a driving factor behind Leeds’s march towards the playoffs.

The Sweden international’s performances for the Whites have seen him linked with a move away from Elland Road in the summer transfer window.

According to The Sun, Premier League outfit Southampton are interested in signing the centre-back and are ready to make a huge offer.

The Sun has claimed that Jansson will make his loan deal from Torino permanent in the summer for a transfer fee of £3.5million deal, and that the Saints are prepared to offer three times as much in order to bring him to St. Mary’s Stadium.

The former Malmo FF, though, has suggested on Instagram that he is happy at Leeds and is not thinking about leaving in the summer transfer window, which is certainly going to ease the worries of the Elland Road faithful.

Even if people talk, i have never been happier than right now..4 more games and lets start it on monday! See you at Elland Road!
