Leeds United youngster Billy Whitehouse has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at Doncaster Rovers’ return to League One.

Doncaster will feature in League One during the 2017-18 campaign after clinching automatic promotion from League Two this season.

Whitehouse, who is 20 years of age and can operate as a winger or as a right-back, is delighted to see his former club get promoted.

The youngster joined Leeds from Doncaster in the summer of 2016 on a one-year contract, as announced on the Whites’ official website.

Doncaster got relegated from League One at the end of the 2015-16 season, and they will be hoping that they remain in the division in 2018-19.

Meanwhile, Leeds are going strong in the Championship at the moment and are likely to end up in the playoffs.

Garry Monk’s side are fifth in the league table at the moment with 72 points from 41 matches.
