Moussa Sissoko was given a chance for Tottenham Hotspur to start against Swansea City, and blew it.

It was his first league start in 2017, with Spurs forced to shake up their selection due to injuries to Harry Winks and Harry Kane.

The Sissoko experiment failed once again, with the midfielder substituted off after 60 minutes.

The Frenchman was lucky to get past half-time, and when he was withdrawn with his side 1-0 down, head coach Mauricio Pochettino could not even look at him.

Sissoko has been used almost as an afterthought since his £30 million move, and his performances have not suggested Pochettino is wrong by using his sparingly.

Last night was an ideal chance for him to prove a point to his manager, and he did not take it.

Tottenham went on to clinch an impressive victory, scoring three goals in the final minutes to complete a comeback which it had seemed was beyond them.

The team continue to move forwards, but Sissoko is stalling.
