Bookies have cut odds on Arsenal star signing for Tottenham.
Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez before the match
Bookies Ladbrokes announced yesterday they have cut odds on Alexis Sanchez swapping Arsenal for Tottenham.
Spurs are now listed at 3/1 from 10/1, at which they were listed previously.
Cheslea are the favourites to sign the Chilean international, who has appeared disgruntled in recent weeks with Arsenal's underwhelming form.
The only two sides the Gunners have beaten since February 11 are non-league clubs Sutton United and Lincoln City.
Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez during training
Even despite his frustration, the thought of Sanchez moving to Tottenham seems unthinkable.
It would be a move Arsenal's board would have to try to resist at every turn, while making the player public enemy number one if he attempted to force through a switch.
The fact he is out of contract in 2018 gives it a slight chance of happening, but really the fact these odds are being offered tells you more about the trajectories of the two clubs.
Arsenal are seen as a team which have plateaued and cannot move forwards, while Tottenham are full of optimism about the future, currently 11 points ahead of their rivals in the Premier League table.
There is real concern among fans that this is one gap they will not be able to haul in, and the Sanchez drama piles it on.
Here is a look at how amused Tottenham fans reacted to the reports...
