Liverpool fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Everton manager Ronald Koeman’s comments after the Merseyside derby at the weekend.

The Reds got the better of the Toffees 3-1 at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Sadio Mane put Liverpool in the lead after just eight minutes, but Matthew Pennington equalised for Everton on 28 minutes.

Philippe Coutinho restored the home team’s lead just past the half-hour mark, and Divock Origi wrapped up the scoring for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the second half.

Klopp was as animated as ever on the touchline throughout the game, and so were a number of the Liverpool staff.

After the match, Everton manager Koeman criticised the Liverpool camp, and was quoted as saying by The Metro: “I don’t like coaches from the bench the whole time shouting to referees and linesmen, making a big show about tackles. They were crazy. They didn’t need the physio on the pitch. It’s a man’s sport.”

Everton are now seventh in the Premier League table at the moment, while Liverpool are currently third in the standings.
