Rangers' Philippe Senderos receives his marching orders against Celtic
When Philippe Senderos inevitably leaves Rangers this summer, it is unlikely he'll be fondly remembered by too many Gers supporters.
With only three league starts to his name and a red card on debut against Celtic of all teams, the Swiss will perhaps go down as the worst recruit of a summer transfer window which also saw Joey Barton arrive at Ibrox.
Luckily, Senderos' deal expires in June, allowing Rangers to wash their hands of the 32-year-old relatively quickly.
However, with only Danny Wilson, Rob Kiernan and Clint Hill in his position - the latter of whom is also out of contract this summer - Senderos will still need replacing, and one of his old clubmates could be worth a punt.
Another Swiss, Johan Djourou was first introduced to Senderos in the summer of 2003, upon their arrival at Arsenal as teenagers from Etoile Carouge and Servette respectively.
The two centre-backs would later partner each other on dozens of occasions not only for Arsenal's senior team but Switzerland too, before going their separate ways at club level.

Currently in Germany with Hamburg, Djourou's time at the Volkparkstadion looks to be coming to an end with his contract up at the end of the campaign, and both Crystal Palace and West Ham United have already been tipped to pounce.
Regardless of Senderos' failings, Rangers could to worse than to state their own case to capture the 30-year-old.
Would you take Djourou at Rangers?
