Leeds United youngster Alex Purver has joined Guiseley on loan for the rest of the season.
Guiseley general manager Adie Towers has told The Yorkshire Evening Post that he is pleased to have Alex Purver in the team for the rest of the season.
Purver has re-joined Guiseley from Championship club Leeds United on loan until the end of the season.
This would be the 21-year-old midfielder second loan spell at Nethermoor Park.
The youngster played for the Lions in the first half of the season, scoring two goals and making a good impact.
Purver, who made 21 competitive appearances for Guiseley, last played for Adam Lockwood’s side on Boxing Day.
Guiseley general manager Towers has praised Purver and told The Yorkshire Evening Post: “Alex is a good lad and we had been trying to hopefully get him back and he is also a hard-working lad and he fits right into our squad. We are pleased to get him back.”
Purver is out of contract at Leeds in the summer of 2017, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post.
The 21-year-old midfielder is a promising and talented young player, but he is unlikely to feature in the Whites’ first team anytime soon.
Perhaps it would not be a bad idea for Purver to sign a permanent contract with National League outfit Guiseley in the summer.
