Former Celtic striker John Hartson has claimed in The Scottish Sun that money is the only answer to Rangers’ problems.
Rangers are playing in the Scottish Premiership this season after getting automatic promotion from the Scottish Championship at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
Many would have expected the Gers to push Old Firm rivals Celtic for the league title this season, but there is a very good chance that the Ibrox outfit may not even end up second.
The Gers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 50 points from 29 matches. Rangers are eight points behind second-placed Aberdeen and 33 points behind leaders Celtic.
Former Celtic striker Hartson believes that money is the only answer to Rangers’ problems.
The former Wales international has also claimed the Gers need to sign three or four quality players in the summer transfer window.
“Money is the only answer to their problems,” Hartson wrote in The Scottish Sun. “They need to spend £10-15million to bring in three or four quality players. That’s the only way things are going to change at Ibrox.”
Rangers will take on Motherwell at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership after the international break.
