Dietmar Hamann has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Oriol Romeu would be a good signing for Liverpool or Manchester City.

The former Liverpool and City midfielder was impressed with the performance of Romeu for Southampton against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at the weekend.

The 25-year-old defensive midfielder started the game at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon and played for the entire 90 minutes.

Hamann was impressed with the performance of the former Barcelona and Chelsea man, and has suggested on Twitter that he would be a good signing for Liverpool or City.

Romeu is a very good defensive midfielder, and he has progressed well at Southampton.

Playing regularly has allow the Spaniard to grow and develop, and it has also given him more confidence.

While City do not have a need for Romeu as they are covered in that area, but he would be a good signing for Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
